Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Praise & Worship

Praise and Worship is more than music. It is the willing response of the heart to the presence, holiness, and goodness of God.

What is Praise?

Praise is the joyful expression of honour, gratitude, and thanksgiving to God for who He is and what He has done.

What is Worship?

Worship is surrender. It is reverence, devotion, and the offering of our hearts to God in spirit and in truth.

Why it Matters

Praise and Worship draws us into God's presence, aligns our hearts, and reminds us that we were created for Him.

David's Heart for Worship

King David understood that worship was not performance -- it was relationship. His praise flowed from surrender, gratitude, repentance, and awe before the Lord.

In victory and in brokenness, David returned to God. His life teaches us that true worship flows from intimacy, not routine.

Thanksgiving, Offerings, and Preparation

In Scripture, worship included thanksgiving, offerings, consecration, and celebration. Trumpets were sounded, sacrifices were brought, and the people gathered with reverence and expectation.

Worship was not casual. It was prepared, intentional, and centered on the presence of God.

A People Gathered Before the Lord

Worship was never meant to be disconnected from the people of God. Under David's leadership, praise gathered the nation together in unity, joy, and reverence before the Lord.

Corporate worship reminds us that we are not meant to seek God alone, but as a people called into His presence together.

When the Skekinah (Heb Shakan, meaning to dwell) Glory Fills the House

Worship is not empty activity. It is the place where hearts make room for God. Fire, light, and glory in Scripture point to His holiness, nearness, and power.

When God is welcomed, honoured, and desired, worship becomes more than sound -- it becomes encounter.

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth."

A Call for Today

Praise magnifies Him. Worship yields to Him. Together they call us back to what we were created for: fellowship with God.

The call is still the same today -- come near, bring your heart, honour His presence, and worship Him in truth.
