Throughout history, God has desired one thing above all else—to dwell among His people.
From the Garden of Eden to the Tabernacle of Moses, from the worship ministry of King David to the glory that filled Solomon's Temple, the Scriptures reveal a consistent theme: God's desire for relationship with mankind.
King David discovered something that transformed his life, his kingdom, and ultimately the nation of Israel. He understood that the presence of God was not merely a theological concept or religious experience—it was the very center of life itself.
This revelation inspired David to establish one of the most extraordinary worship ministries recorded in Scripture. Thousands of singers, musicians, priests, and worship leaders ministered continually before the Lord. Their focus was not performance, but the pursuit of God's presence.
Today, many believers know about God, yet few fully understand the significance of pursuing His presence.

About This Journey
For more than three decades, I have been exploring the purposes of God and researching the heart of God throughout Scripture. What began as a passion for praise and worship became a journey to uncover the story behind the story—the unfolding revelation of God's desire to dwell among His people.
From Eden to the Tabernacle, from David's worship ministry to Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Bible reveals a remarkable and consistent theme: God pursuing relationship with mankind.
I invite you to join me on this journey as we explore the biblical foundations, historical context, and spiritual truths behind God's eternal purpose and His desire for His presence to dwell among His people.
The Father's Eternal Desire
The story of Scripture is not primarily about buildings, rituals, or religion. It is the story of a Father seeking relationship with His children.
From Genesis to Revelation, one truth shines through every page of Scripture: God desires to dwell among His people.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve enjoyed fellowship with God before sin entered the world. There was no temple, no priesthood, and no religious system. There was simply relationship.
When mankind fell, God immediately began revealing His plan to restore what had been lost. Throughout history, every covenant, every tabernacle, every sacrifice, and every act of redemption pointed toward one eternal purpose: restoring fellowship between God and man.
God's desire never changed. His methods unfolded, but His heart remained the same.
The Tabernacle of Moses revealed God's desire to dwell among His people.
The Ark of the Covenant revealed His manifest presence.
The Tabernacle of David revealed continual worship before the Lord.
Solomon's Temple revealed the glory of God filling His house.
Jesus Christ revealed the Father dwelling among mankind.
The Holy Spirit reveals God's presence dwelling within believers today.
The New Covenant reveals that believers themselves have become the dwelling place of God through the Holy Spirit.
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"

The story never changed. God dwelling with His people has always been the destination.
"And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them."
Exodus 25:8 NKJV
The journey that began in Eden reaches its fulfillment in a people who carry His presence.
In 1983, during a powerful moment of revelation, I declared that we would see the Tabernacle of David restored in our generation.
I was not speaking about rebuilding an ancient tent in Jerusalem.
I was speaking about a people who would once again discover continual praise, continual worship, and continual communion with God.
Worship would no longer be confined to a building. It would fill homes, workplaces, communities, cities, nations, and hearts.
Twenty-four hours a day. Seven days a week.
The restoration of David's Tabernacle is not about rebuilding a structure. It is about restoring a people who pursue God's presence.
Today, through Jesus Christ, the dwelling place of God is no longer made with human hands.
The Father now desires to dwell within His people through the Holy Spirit.
What David pursued is now available to every believer.
"One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple."
Psalm 27:4 NKJV
The Father's dream that began in Eden still echoes from heaven today: "Seek Me."
Those who seek Him will discover that He has been waiting for them all along.
The Salt of Desire
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. Yet you can certainly give him some salt.
God has never forced people into relationship with Him. Throughout Scripture He has revealed His love, demonstrated His goodness, displayed His power, and invited people to seek Him.
The Father does not force devotion. He awakens desire.
Just as salt creates thirst within the body, the Holy Spirit creates a longing within the heart that earthly things cannot satisfy.
He awakens curiosity. He awakens faith. He awakens hunger. He awakens a desire to know God personally.
The Holy Spirit is God's divine invitation to relationship. He does not merely reveal God — He creates a desire for God.
"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"
Psalm 34:8 NKJV

Golden Nuggets of Wisdom
Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly compares wisdom, understanding, and the knowledge of Him to gold, silver, precious stones, and hidden treasure.
The pursuit of God's presence is also the pursuit of His wisdom. Those who seek Him discover treasures far greater than earthly riches.

Throughout this journey we will uncover treasures hidden throughout Scripture. Like miners searching for gold, we will seek the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of God that lead us into deeper relationship with Him.
The Journey Continues

Jesus revealed God's heart.
Each chapter within this series is another step into the Abyss of Truths, where hidden treasures become golden nuggets of wisdom, and wisdom leads us into a deeper relationship with the living God.
The deeper we seek, the deeper we discover. The deeper we discover, the closer we draw to His presence.
There Is A Lack of Vision For The Presence of God
David did not build a worship ministry because he loved music. David built a worship ministry because he loved the presence of God.
